While this is not a travel assignment, it is an excellent fit for out-of-state or former travel nurses who are ready to relocate and transition into a stable, full-time role or ideal for a local Charleston candidate or local to the area and wanting a long term stable position in the area. Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license, with a minimum of two years of mental health nursing experience.
- BLS and/or ACLS certifications are required.
- Recent experience (worked within the last 6 months).
- Comfortable with 12-hour shifts (days/nights, rotating weekends)
- EMR proficiency is also necessary, and applicants must be U.S. Citizens or hold a Green Card.
- Any U.S. State RN License in good standing in this field is accepted.
- Must meet state licensure continuing education requirements to maintain a valid nursing license.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to individuals with mental health conditions in various settings.
- Conduct thorough assessments, implement care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer psychotropic medications and provide education regarding their effects and side effects.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Encourage patient engagement in therapeutic activities and group sessions.
