It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University West Pavilion Worker Type: PRN Job Highlights: The Outpatient Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Infusion Clinic is seeking a passionate and dedicated PRN Registered Nurse to join our team! We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the BMT specialty within an outpatient setting. Prfers prior BMT experience or chemotherapy certification is a plus, but not required — we are fully prepared to train the right candidate who brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a willingness to learn. Schedule: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm (until the last patient leaves) , 10 hour shifts, weekend shift rotating every 6 weeks once chemo certified. Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses, manages, directs, and provides nursing care care activities during the patient's hospital stay and coordinates planning with other disciplines utilizing a patient/customer driven approach.

Requirements

• Licensed to work as an RN in the state of Missouri
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration Or Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
• Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State Or Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State Or Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services

Nice To Haves

• prior BMT experience or chemotherapy certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessment/reassessment.
• Establishes, coordinates and evaluates a plan of care based on analysis of assessment data, patient diagnosis, lab data, tests, procedures, physician orders, protocols and standards of care and other information as relevant.
• Provides and documents nursing interventions based on assessed patient needs, plan of care, and changes in patient status.
• Documents and or communicates nursing care and or changes in patient condition.
• Specialized Care: Provides specialized care to patients at high risk for injury.
• Demonstrates accountability for own professional practice.
• Ability to relate to coworkers in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Safety/Infection Control: Performs job in accordance with safety and infection control policies.
• Service: Provides service excellence to the customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Incorporates Performance Improvement and Evidenced Based Practice into individual professional practice.
