Requirements

• Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing
• RN licensure in Wisconsin upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• ACLS and Procedural Sedation training required within 8 weeks of hire
• 1+ year of RN experience (new graduate nurses are not eligible)
• Ability to thrive while working through change and help develop workflows for this evolving role

• Previous sedation or procedural experience

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care in both Procedural Sedation and General Surgery Clinic settings
• Assist with procedural sedation and in-office Vascular and General Surgery procedures
• Care for patients pre-op, intra-op, and post-op, including education and coordination of pre-procedure calls
• Perform telephone triage, patient education, and coordinate patient care
• Administering sedation medications
• Starting and maintaining vascular access
• Point-of-care INR and glucose testing
• Wound vacs and dressing changes
• Collaborate with surgery and vascular clinicians in newly renovated spaces on the 3rd floor of the Heritage building.
