About The Position

Float Registered Nurse assignment with night shifts on a 3x12 schedule and 36 guaranteed hours per week. This role is strictly a float position, requiring the nurse to work across multiple units based on facility needs. The RN must be able to float to at least 2 of the following units: ICU, Med-Surg, and Emergency Department, with preference given to candidates who can independently work across all 3. The float schedule will vary weekly depending on staffing demands, making flexibility and adaptability essential for success in this role.

Requirements

• Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Required specialties include Acute Care and Med-Surg, with Emergency Department experience preferred.
• The RN must clearly indicate which units they are competent to float to if not all three.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC, all of which must be active.
• Experience with Epic charting is required.
• The nurse should be confident in handling varying patient acuity levels and transitioning between different unit workflows and expectations.
