Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited college or university
  • Current, active Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license OR active Utah Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screening, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check
  • Must obtain Utah Office of Licensing BCI clearance after hire
  • Ability to provide official licensure documentation upon conditional offer

  • Prior mental health or behavioral health experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish speakers may qualify for additional wage incentives

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and administer medications while educating clients on proper use and treatment compliance.
  • Track medication effects, recognize adverse reactions, and communicate observations to medical staff.
  • Document doctor's orders, progress notes, and intake/admission records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain up-to-date clinical documentation.
  • Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
  • Complete health assessments including vitals, mental status evaluations, and progress monitoring.
  • Assist clients with accessing free or subsidized medication programs and maintain accurate medication inventories.
  • Prepare pill boxes for designated programs and maintain controlled-substance logs.
  • Communicate with clients, guardians, and prescribers regarding medication instructions and authorizations.
  • Provide individual and group health education to support positive mental-health habits.
  • Support residential programs with medication management, medical appointments, and daily wellbeing needs.
  • Investigate documentation discrepancies and ensure compliance with WBH medication protocols.
