About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join their Same Day Surgery team. Sentara RMH Medical Center is a Magnet designated hospital located in Harrisonburg, VA, serving a seven-county area with a population of 218,000 residents and employing 2600 locals. The 238-bed community hospital has been serving the area since 1912 and partnered with Sentara Health System in 2011. It features the RMH Hahn Cancer Center, which administers over 18,000 cancer treatments. The center handles 1800 delivered babies, 60,000 emergency patients, and 21,000 surgical procedures annually. Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing (Required)
• Registered Nurse (Certification/Licensure)

Responsibilities

• Perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• Apply standards of practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion, and evaluation.
• Adhere to standards of professional performance including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
