Part Time 24 weekly hours, Nights - two 12 hour shifts 7P-7A Sign On Bonus eligible for experienced Cardiac or Open Heart Nurses! About the Unit: Cardiovascular Recovery, also known as Open Heart Recovery or CVR, is a six bed unit offering intensive recovery rooms and critical care services to the immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patient. Job Duties: The open heart recovery nurse recovers patients post operatively. The nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the critical cardiac patient. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Cardiac nurses must have strong critical thinking skills. The cardiac nurse acts as a family and patient resource to guide them through all stages of the patient’s cardiac journey. Requirements

  • Active Kentucky RN License
  • BCLS Required
  • ACLS Required
  • Previous experience in open heart recovery, critical care or equivalent experience is desired
