Our floor offers a diverse, complex patient population that requires telemetry monitoring and interventions, respiratory support and heart failure measures. As a nurse you will gain experience in multiple different medication drips and procedures that a typical medical-surgical unit does not encounter. Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates Up to $20,000.00 Sign-On Bonus Up to 120 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off Up to $4,000.00 Relocation bonus $1.00 Certification pay $1.00 BSN pay Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $5,000.00 The Cardiology Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the adult or geriatric patient experiencing acute, chronic, and/or terminal cardiovascular diseases, comorbid medical conditions, and associated procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications and monitor patient response, monitor and interpret telemetry, and provide patients and families with support and education.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days
- Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
- Exhibits valuable time management skill
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Previous nursing experience
