4W Med-Surg Cardiac is a fast paced, stimulating environment for nurses who love to use their critical thinking and prioritization skills. Our floor offers a diverse, complex patient population that requires telemetry monitoring and interventions, respiratory support and heart failure measures. As a nurse you will gain experience in multiple different medication drips and procedures that a typical medical-surgical unit does not encounter. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
RN license active in the state of Missouri
BLS must be obtained within 90 days
Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
Exhibits valuable time management skill
Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Previous nursing experience

Responsibilities

managing the care of the adult or geriatric patient experiencing acute, chronic, and/or terminal cardiovascular diseases, comorbid medical conditions, and associated procedures
assess patient condition
administer medications and monitor patient response
