About The Position

DaVita is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work in an outpatient dialysis center, making a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The role involves delivering empathetic and compassionate care. DaVita, meaning 'giving life,' aims to be the Provider, Partner, and Employer of Choice, focusing on quality service to patients, partners, and teammates. No prior dialysis experience is required, and comprehensive training will be provided, potentially in a different facility or training clinic. The position may involve floating to various clinics during and after training. Nurses will build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families, work as part of a supportive team, and deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring a broad range of nursing skills. They will oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs, conducting patient observations, measuring stats, and setting up machines. The role is fast-paced and requires engagement of 'head, heart, and hands' daily. DaVita is recognized as a clinical leader, with a high percentage of facilities meeting or exceeding CMS's standards in key performance programs, and expects nurses to commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday

Nice To Haves

  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way
  • Build meaningful and long term relationships with patients and their family in an intimate outpatient setting
  • Deliver care to patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities which require unique treatment plans and the ability to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge
  • Oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs to conduct patient observations, measuring stats and machine set up
  • Commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives
