About The Position
MTC operates the North Central Correctional Complex, where staff are dedicated to improving lives and helping to reduce recidivism through education, healthcare, and other services. The company is looking for a Registered Nurse PRN to join its clinical team. This role offers valuable experience covering chronic care to emergencies within one clinical setting. A key benefit is that there are no paperwork hassles, meaning when a shift ends, there is no need to stay to complete additional paperwork.
Requirements
- Degree in nursing
- Current, valid nursing license for the state of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Must work within Ohio State Board of Nursing Scope of Practice
Responsibilities
- Attend sick call which is held daily
- Administer and record medications
- Handle urgent care cases as needed
- Confer with physician to refer inmates to the emergency room as required
