Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS within 6 months of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year previous Perioperative RN experience preferred.
- PALS/ENPC preferred.
Responsibilities
- The Perioperative RN is responsible for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure.
- The Perioperative RN is a professional nurse who is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during various phases of the perioperative stay.
- The Perioperative RN participates in the clinical assessment, planning for care, implantation of appropriate nursing techniques and evaluation of nursing interventions.
