About The Position

We are a 30-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit. Our patient population consists of adult and geriatric medical and surgical critical care patients. We care for patients that require ventilators, central lines, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), mass blood transfusions, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), and more! The MICU staffs and trains the facilities rapid response team. We maintain an operational Unit Practice Council (UPC) dedicated to enhancing the unit's policies and procedures, thereby optimizing workflow and elevating patient outcomes. We provide numerous opportunities for professional development and educational advancement tailored to critical care. Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
