This Registered Nurse position involves medication management and medical oversight, training direct care staff, documenting medical appointments and issues, informing care managers and parents of medical changes, and providing on-call support on a rotational basis. The role offers reduced caseloads (max 8 per program) and minimal direct care, promoting increased work-life balance with a Monday-Friday 10 am-6 pm schedule. YAI was founded in 1957 with a vision for a 'total life adjustment approach' for the I/DD community, emphasizing personal growth, social responsibility, employment goals, and independence. Today, YAI supports over 20,000 people with autism, Down syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy through more than 300 programs in Downstate New York and Northern New Jersey, driven by its mission of living, loving, working, and learning.
