The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care for a designated group of patients. This role involves coordinating, directing, and actively participating as an effective member of the interdisciplinary health care team to ensure efficient unit operation and positive patient outcomes. The RN provides direct oversight to various healthcare support personnel, including Graduate Nurses (GN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Technical Partners, ALS Technicians, Nurse Externs, and Unit Clerks. This oversight encompasses conducting initial comprehensive assessments, interpreting assessments to initiate interprofessional plans of care, and supervising the delegation of duties within the scope and capability of the supervised care team.
