This is a per diem/contingent position offering steady hours (20–40 hours per week) without the burnout of overnight shifts or unpredictable weekend rotations. You will manage the clinical journey from assessment to recovery by: Leading Patient Care: Assessing needs, administering medications, and monitoring recovery with a sharp clinical eye. Being the Bridge: Communicating physician treatment plans and results clearly to patients and coordinating with the healthcare team. Ensuring Excellence: Maintaining a sterile, prepared environment and utilizing EMR technology to ensure every detail of care is documented. What We’re Looking For Experience: 1–2 years of clinical experience (Urology experience is a significant plus). Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred). Credentials: Active Colorado RN License and BLS (ACLS preferred). Tech Savvy: Comfortable with EMR systems and Microsoft Office. GENERAL SUMMARY The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. The RN administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients in the clinic setting.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of clinical experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Colorado RN License and BLS
  • Comfortable with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A compassionate "people person" who stays calm under pressure and takes ownership of their clinical work.
  • RN license and certification required by state.
  • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
  • Ability to handle stressful and constantly changing conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understands the implications of the latest information required for both current and future problem solving decisions.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Suite and EMR applications.
  • Takes responsibility for own actions and is forthright about errors or uncertainty.
  • Ability to build relationships with patients and display empathy and compassion to patients.
  • Complies with all health and safety policies of the organization.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient problems both in the office and on the phone, to determine disposition of patient.
  • Facilitates patient care and documents all communication into the electronic medical record (EMR) .
  • Communicates physician treatment plan including lab/imaging results to patients and documents appropriately within the EMR.
  • Administers medications to patients and monitors patients for reactions or side effects per written provider orders.
  • Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepares rooms, steriles instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
  • Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Instructs individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education and disease prevention. Develops health improvement programs.
  • Engages in continuous learning, adjusts the application knowledge, skills and abilities while addressing new challenges as contextual realities change.
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned.
  • Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
