Registered Nurse-Hourly
About The Position
Bluegrass Surgery and Laser Center is currently searching for a Full Time Registered Nurse to work Mondays – Fridays (4, 10-hour shifts). This role requires working cooperatively with staff and physicians and performing a variety of tasks. The nurse will actively participate in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities, collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of patient care, and utilize the nursing process to perform safe and individualized nursing care throughout the Pre-op, Intra-op, and post-operative process.
Requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current state license to practice as a registered nurse
- Maintain basic cardiac life support certification
- Maintain ACLS certification
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for procedures
- Assist physician during procedure
- Provides care for patients in recovery
- Actively participates in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of patient care
- Utilize the nursing process to perform safe and individualized nursing care throughout the Pre-op, Intra-op, and post-operative process
