About The Position

The Key Program, Inc. is currently seeking a part-time (20-hour per week) Registered Nurse to join their team at a short-term residential group home in Fall River, MA that provides treatment and stabilization services for up to nine (9) adolescents involved with the MA Department of Children and Families (DCF). Hourly wage: $41.50 Due to the part-time nature of the position, it does not include health benefits. Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel included. In addition to the hourly wage, this position qualifies for a $3,000 hiring bonus (paid in two equal payments of $1,500 at 3 months and at 6 months of employment). The Key Program is a private, non-profit human services agency whose mission is to assist children/adolescents and their families to develop positive life skills so they may pursue productive and rewarding lives. Key is an agency provider of both community-based outreach services and residential treatment programming. Requirements

  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Licensed by the MA Board of Registration in Nursing
  • Certified to teach Medication Administration Program (MAP) or an agreement to obtain certification within the first three months of employment.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working with youth and families from diverse backgrounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse will oversee our Medication Administration Program
  • provide medication training to our staff
  • work with our staff to schedule well-child PCP visits, and follow up on prescriptions.
  • work directly with the children on individual needs and interests related to personal health issues, appetite/ eating concerns, Diabetes, allergies, exercise, and overall improvements in health and wellbeing.
