About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Inpatient Wound Care at Holy Family Medical Center - LTACH in Des Plaines, IL, provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic and evaluates inpatient wounds. This per diem, day shift role involves communicating with physicians, charge nurses, and co-workers regarding changes in patient treatment, clinical condition, and diagnostic study results, and requires the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Requirements

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state.
• BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic.
• Evaluate inpatient wounds.
• Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / co – workers, as appropriate regarding changes in the patient’s treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
