About The Position

Bishop Spencer Place , Kansas City’s premier non-profit Life Care retirement community, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Skilled Nursing Facility . Position Details: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care Schedule: Monday to Friday No Weekends or Holidays Required WCC - Wound Care Certification preferred but not required to start.

Requirements

• Applicable Experience: 1 year
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Registered Nurse - Various
• Associate Degree

Nice To Haves

• WCC - Wound Care Certification preferred but not required to start.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating new and continuing residents for wounds and skin alterations
• Notifying physician and Nurse Supervisor of wound changes
• Implementing orders and providing treatments to heal wounds
• Identifying wound types and providing education to other nursing staff
• Documenting wound status and treatment interventions
• Consulting with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident’s care, treatment, and rehabilitation
• Providing other direct nursing care as necessary
• Participating in QAPI activities including participation in annual survey preparation and survey process, and maintenance of CMS standards.
