Short Description Registered Nurses in the Center for Wound Healing provide coordinated wound care under the direction of Physicians and Podiatrists through approved evidence-based protocols. Modalities include advanced techniques including wound debridement, special dressing, application of skin substitutes, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Requirements

  • Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
  • Current American Heart Association, (AHA) BLS CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete Hyperbaric Oxygen 40 hours course
  • Wound Center is open Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Wound Care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the provider in assessing, staging, and treating wounds.
  • Maintaining documentation in the medical record.
  • Supervision and support of hyperbaric oxygen treatments
  • Assisting with scheduling patient appointments
  • Assisting front desk staff with maintenance and ordering of supplies
  • Collecting data for performance improvement initiatives.
