About The Position

Executes comprehensive planning for Women's Health (WH) issues that improves the overall quality of care provided to women Veterans and achieves program goals and outcomes. Provides facility guidance regarding change implementations as directed by Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) while working across multiple service lines and disciplines. The Nurse Ill Women Veterans Program Manager (WVPM) Registered Nurse (RN) executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience and creative approaches to the management program aspects. Demonstrates programmatic performance and leadership that is broad enough to impact the standard of care and safety of staff while caring for all women Veteran patients throughout the continuum of care. Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. Evaluates practice in an ongoing process, based on best evidence. Provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement. Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals. Contributes professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team, conducting knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality nursing care.
