How you’ll make an impact in this role Advanced Vascular Insertion: Perform expert Ultrasound-Guided insertions of PICCs, Midlines, and difficult peripheral IVs, ensuring first-stick success and adherence to the Vessel Health and Preservation (VHP) model. Comprehensive Line Management: Provide specialized clinical care for all central and midline access devices, including expert-level sterile dressing changes, troubleshooting, and line maintenance to ensure zero CLABSI complications. Clinical Coordination: Act as the primary vascular access consultant, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to evaluate, implement, and monitor patient-specific infusion care plans. Safety & Documentation: Note and execute physician orders for vascular access while meticulously recording patient conditions, device tip-locations, and discharge education to ensure a seamless continuum of care. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. What additional preferences we're seeking 2 years of Vascular Access Nursing Trained in the use of Ultrasound Guided Intravenous access for PICC, Midline and Peripheral Skillful at all types of central lines and midlines including access and dressings

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves
