The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 3 and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including allergies, asthma, coughs, bronchitis, colds, flu, COVID-19, fever, headache, broken bones, sprains and strains, eye and ear infections, rashes, cuts, sexually transmitted infections, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need. We are seeking a Per Diem RN to join our Urgent Care team, working at least two 12.5-hour shifts (8:30am to 9:00pm) per four-week scheduling period. Shifts may be scheduled on weekdays or weekends and are onsite at our Urgent Care Center located at 480 Lynnfield Street, Suite 1A, Lynn, MA 01904. Summary Responsible for patient care and support within our hospital's outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical nursing experience required
• Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.

Nice To Haves

• Due to the nature of this fast-paced setting, prior experience in the following are strongly preferred:
• Urgent care and/or ER experience
• Blood draw experience and IV placement skills
• 1-2 years in ambulatory care or outpatient experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards.
• Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
