Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 3 and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including allergies, asthma, coughs, bronchitis, colds, flu, COVID-19, fever, headache, broken bones, sprains and strains, eye and ear infections, rashes, cuts, sexually transmitted infections, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need. We are seeking a full-time 37.5-hour RN to work 3, 12.5-hour shifts (8:30am to 9:00pm) per week, including every other weekend, onsite at our Urgent Care center located at 480 Lynnfield Street, 1A Lynn, MA 01904. Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will require 2 on-call shifts per 4-week scheduling period, as well as overtime, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed. We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however, for on-call shifts, employees must be able to commute to any of our locations, including Boston Common, Brookline, Lynn, Natick, Newton, Westwood, and Woburn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes). Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical nursing experience required
• Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.

Nice To Haves

• Urgent care and/or ER experience
• Blood draw experience and IV placement skills
• 1-2 years in ambulatory care or outpatient experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards.
• Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
