About The Position
HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is a 417-bed acute care facility in west Miami-Dade County, recognized nationally for overall clinical excellence. The hospital is a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center , a verified Level I Adult Trauma Center by the ACS , and one of five American Burn Association verified Burn Centers in Florida . The facility offers a full spectrum of services, including trauma, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health, and diagnostics. We are seeking an experienced Trauma OR Registered Nurse to join our high-performing team. This role requires acute care trauma OR experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, critical care surgical environment.
Requirements
- Florida RN license or recognized compact licensure (must comply with Florida requirements)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtain within 30 days of employment)
- Minimum 2 years trauma operating room acute care experience
- Must live within 30 minutes of the facility due to on-call requirements

Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for trauma patients in the operating room
- Deliver high-quality care using the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with the healthcare team
- Maintain adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
- Respond to trauma and emergent cases with efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during surgical interventions
