About The Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: Department: Stepdown Intermediate Care Schedule: 36hr, 12-hr Night Shift, 7:00pm - 7:30am Sunday - Saturday Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization

Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
