The Registered Nurse assesses, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Requirements
- Education & Licensure: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Currently licensed to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing.
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
- Additional Skill Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.

Responsibilities
- Actively engage in the health care team, offering both direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians.
- Assess the physical and psychological conditions of patients continuously throughout their care journey.
- Utilize the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of SOBH.
- Uphold a safe therapeutic environment grounded in our core values.
- Collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, actively contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.
