About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers patient care by utilizing the nursing process, which includes data collection, assessment, identification and prioritization of patient problems/needs, and evaluation of nursing care outcomes. This role involves coordinating, providing, and directing patient teaching activities, as well as coordinating care provided by other health team members. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, the RN conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyzes data, creates and implements treatment plans, and evaluates their effectiveness. The RN is responsible for administering medications safely, consistent with state practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies, and serves as a primary contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments. Additionally, the RN acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department and incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.

Responsibilities
