About The Position
Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, a 122-bed general acute care community hospital in Torrington, Connecticut. This role is part of Connecticut’s comprehensive healthcare network, serving Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. The hospital offers a small, traditional New England community setting with personalized attention from an expert team utilizing advanced technology and clinical partnerships. Registered Nurses are expected to apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to deliver direct and indirect patient care, addressing the needs of all patients. They will adhere to nursing department philosophies, policies, and procedures to create individualized education and care plans, providing support to family members. The role also involves using judgment, knowledge, and understanding of patient and family needs when guiding ancillary staff. Requirements
- Maintains current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut

Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to provide direct and indirect patient care based on area(s) assigned, addressing the appropriate needs of all patients
- Follow nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop unique education and care plans for each patient and provide appropriate education and support for family members
- Utilize judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff
