What it's like to be a Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department 7P-7A As a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Minden Medical Center, your daily routine will involve providing high-quality patient care during the critical night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. Expect to engage in a variety of tasks, including triaging patients, administering medications, and performing assessments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring each patient's needs are met efficiently. Anticipate managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a customer-centric approach. Your shifts will be filled with opportunities to utilize your problem-solving skills, respond to emergencies, and support patients and their families with empathy and integrity. What you need to be successful To thrive as a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Minden Medical Center, you will need a diverse skill set that aligns with the demands of this vital role. Proficiency in AHA BLS is essential, along with the ability to obtain ACLS and De-Escalation training/crisis intervention within your first month of employment. Within six months, you will also need to complete PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications to ensure peak performance in emergency situations. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are vital, allowing you to assess and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and providing compassionate care to patients and their families. Requirements

  • AHA BLS required
  • ACLS and De-Escalation training/crisis intervention within one month of employment
  • PALS, ENPC, TNCC required within six months of employment
