About The Position

Our 30-bed unit specializes in the care of pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, including those undergoing procedures such as heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, TAVR, cardioversion, and ablations. We provide comprehensive care before and after these procedures. In addition to cardiac care, the unit also cares for a diverse mix of medical-surgical and orthopedic patients, offering an enriching environment for nurses to broaden their skill set. The team is dedicated to collaborative, patient-centered care, working closely with surgeons, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams, with a strong emphasis on pain management, mobility, and post-surgical recovery. Atrium Health Navicent- The Medical Center (MCNH) is a nationally recognized academic medical center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and a Magnet® hospital for nursing. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required/expected within 6 months of hire date

  • Cardiac/critical care experience preferred
