About The Position

Boone Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care while making a meaningful impact in our community. Essential Functions As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will: Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and emergent conditions Perform triage and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical presentation Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately Assist physicians with exams, procedures, and treatments Monitor patient conditions and respond rapidly to changes Perform wound care, stabilization, and life-saving interventions Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care Support patient flow, admissions, discharges, and transfers efficiently Maintain compliance with EMTALA, infection control, and safety standards Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active West Virginia Registered Nurse license Emergency Department experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Experience with electronic health record systems Required Certifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs.) Qualifications

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Active West Virginia Registered Nurse license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs.)
