About The Position
Centurion Health has partnered with the state of Indiana to provide medical and behavioral health services to the Indiana Department of Correction. The company contracts with state and local governments nationwide to offer comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join their team at Putnamville Correctional Facility in Greencastle, Indiana. This Registered Nurse (Medical) will be responsible for delivering holistic nursing care within their scope of practice to incarcerated patients. The role involves working under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to identify, assess, and address the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license or multi state compact license
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients
- Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs of patients
