About The Position

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is in a newly remodeled and expanded Emergency Department at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, which is staffed with board-certified emergency physicians. Aurora Lakeland Medical Center is Stroke Certified, a Level III Trauma Center, Chest Pain Accredited, and provides direct access to specialized care at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee when necessary. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will be crucial in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe, therapeutic care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. This role involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.
  • ED Nursing experience
  • Casual teammates are required to work 24 hours every 6 week schedule period

Responsibilities

  • Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
