About The Position

Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Flexi/PRN Registered Nurse for the Same Day Surgery in Suffolk, About the Unit: Same Day Surgery Same Day Surgery is a 26 Bay Unit the provides Pre Op and phase two recovery Care for OR, Endo, Cath, and IVR. Hours Flexi/PRN opening - About 4 hours a week Unit is open at 5:30am - around 8:00pm Day shift and rotate within this time frame. No Call, No weekends, No Holidays Why Choose Sentara Obici Hospital? The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Registered nursing License (Required)
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
• PALS within 1 year of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in Surgical Services or ICU
