This position holds the authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for delivering nursing care using the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for applying competent clinical knowledge and skills, and using independent nursing judgment for care provided by themselves and by delegated healthcare providers to achieve quality patient care outcomes. The role involves performing duties within the scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) - Level I & II, demonstrating knowledge and skills relevant to patient care across the life span, and assessing/interpreting patient data for age-specific needs. This role provides professional nursing care for patients in an inpatient hospital setting. The organization also offers a system-wide clinical advancement program (CAPE) to enhance professional development, provide a reward system for quality clinical performance, promote quality nursing, and improve job satisfaction for inpatient direct care nurses.
