About The Position
Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Unit 2 West at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. This is a full-time, night shift position, approximately 7pm to 7am. The 2 West Cardiac Medicine unit is a dynamic, 34-bed telemetry unit focused on high-quality cardiac care. The team collaborates with hospitalists and cardiologists to treat patients with congestive heart failure, angina, STEMI/NSTEMI, and arrhythmias, and also recovers patients post-cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, ablations, and cardioversions. The unit is known for its diverse team of nurses and patient care technicians, strong collaboration, supportive leadership, and excellent performance outcomes. The role involves assessing and admitting patients, conducting rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overseeing patient care, all within a supportive team environment.
Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
