About The Position

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and condition of the patient. The RN uses the principles of growth and development and physical assessment to develop a plan of care which incorporates these principles. The RN must have the ability to implement the plan, to supervise others with the implementation and assess its effectiveness. The RN must be knowledgeable of the policy and procedures of the department and delegate appropriate procedures and supervise their implementation by others. The RN is responsible for the coordination of patient’s care.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position
  • 2 years applicable skills, high quality of nursing competence and assessment skills
  • Must possess and maintain a current license in the State of New Jersey as a Registered Nurse
  • BLS required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or MSN graduates preferred
  • National certification in area of specialty preferred
