About The Position
The Community Hospice, part of St. Peter's Health Partner's, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for its Hospice Home Care Team. This role involves caring for patients and families primarily in the Columbia County area, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position emphasizes a supportive team environment, with no weekends or on-call duties, and includes national pre-taxed mileage reimbursement. The organization prioritizes safety, providing comprehensive training and necessary protective equipment for care delivery in clients' homes. Meetings and charting are conducted using a supplied laptop, and a comprehensive orientation is provided.
Requirements
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- 1 year experience as an RN required-preferably in Hospice/Home Care or acute care
- Homecare experience is a must
- Valid Driver's License and Reliable vehicle
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
- High level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Understanding of Hospice principles preferred
