Job Details Our Operating Room (OR) RNs: Circulate and scrub in a variety of surgeries including general, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic trauma, plastics, robotic, pediatrics, etc. Provide safe, prompt, skillful perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing invasive or operative procedures. Utilize the perioperative nursing process to plan and provide total, direct patient care before, during, and immediately after surgery according to established standards and practices Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for patients through safety intervention and support.
Requirements
- Passion for Perioperative Services
- 1+ years of Acute Care RN experience
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of Perioperative or Main Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
- CNOR
