About The Position

Part-time RN position ideal for supplemental income— Monday through Friday schedule , no required weekends or holidays. Griswold Home Care for Howard County is looking for an experienced RN to perform client assessments, develop care plans, and supervise CNAs in the field Schedule & Expectations Primary Schedule: Monday - Friday (based on client intake needs) Weekend Coverage: Saturday/Sunday as needed (not required weekly) Expected Hours: 18-24 hours per week, 2-3 days Work independently in the field with office support when you need it. Requirements

  • Active Maryland RN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to work independently in client homes throughout Howard County
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Health clearance (TB test, Hepatitis B)
  • Ability to make independent clinical decisions
  • Ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of home care, home health, or hospice nursing experience in the past 2 years
  • 2+ years of supervision and administration experience
  • Experience working with older adult populations
  • Evidence of continued professional education
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients, caregivers, and staff
  • Exceptional problem-solving, prioritizing, and multitasking abilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial nursing assessments and ongoing cognition screens at start of care
  • Develop individualized care plans for each new client including recommendations for care hours
  • Conduct follow-up visits per Maryland licensing requirements and at client status changes
  • Monitor and document patient conditions accurately
  • Collaborate with community care partners to support quality client care
  • Supervise and support CNAs to ensure they provide high-quality care
  • Support the Lead Field Nurse with other duties as needed
