About The Position

The Program Manager is responsible for the management of 5 licensed homes, residential supervisors, and direct care staff.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in a human services related area including, but not limited to, Social Work, Psychology, or Education
  • At least three years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities and one year of supervisory experience.
  • Must have access to personal use of a vehicle, to conduct agency business, including the transportation of supported individuals.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by Agency’s insurance carrier and Agency policy.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the assigned homes.
  • Ensure that the health and safety needs of individuals who receive services are met consistent with COMAR, Center for Medicaid Services, Board of Nursing regulations, accreditation standards, and agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Write outcomes, goals, and strategies as part of the Individual Planning process, work with the Quality Manager to ensure that progress is being made towards the achievement of those outcomes, goals, and strategies.
  • Ensure that medical services for individuals who receive services are completed as required.
  • Conduct, and document, one-on-one supervision meetings with Residential Supervisor at least once per month.
  • Use agency’s database to ensure accurate and timely input of data and information.
  • Ensure that employees are scheduled for shifts, that staff are using agency’s time management system, and to avoid excessive use of overtime.
  • Be on-call 24/7 for your assigned homes.
  • Conduct quarterly home visits and ensure follow up actions on identified issues are completed.
  • Ensure that all staff understand and work toward fulfilling the mission of the agency.
  • Assist Residential supervisors in preparing for Personal Planning Meetings and individually directed, outcome-oriented planning
  • Attend and monitor agency’s participation in annual Personal Planning Meetings.
  • Evaluate the success of an individuals Individual Plan based on an agreed upon schedule.
  • Participation in the organizations management team meetings.
  • Work closely with the Recruiter to schedule, interview, and hire new staff.
  • Attend DDA sponsored meetings, orientations, and trainings as assigned.
  • Monitor household funds
  • Review all incident reports and progress reviews for individuals
  • Support and guide direct service staff in their efforts to connect clients to their communities
  • Conduct periodic, unannounced visits to agency homes
  • Ensure timesheets are correct and before submitting to payroll.
  • Ensure all monthly paperwork is reviewed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned
