About The Position

Fairview Health Services is looking for a driven Registered Nurse to join the hard working team at our Women's Health Clinic located in Minneaoplis, Minnesota This position is a casual position with a temporary contract. The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. The RN provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices. As a member of the care team, the RN supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The nurse will educate patients and the public about various medical conditions, maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Requirements

• 1 year previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting
• Current MN Registered Nurse (RN) License

Nice To Haves

• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions based on plan of care.
• Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
• Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Continuously work to improve work processes, environment, and the overall experience to serve customers and meet business goals.
• Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
• Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.
• Communicates in a respective manner.
• Ensures a safe, secure environment.
• Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.
• Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.
• Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.
• Fulfills all organizational requirements.
• Completes all required learning relevant to the role.
• Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards.
• Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
