Advance your RN career! Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit-3 East. Hours/Shift: Full-time, 36-hours/week, Days Department/Position Overview: The 3East - Intermediate Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General enjoys a supportive team environment and nurse patient ratio including a unit based nurse educator, team coordinator and manager. The unit has an active Partnership council and is currently involved with the hospital Magnet redesignation journey. All new grad RNs receive a 10 to 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment in the Transition to Practice Program. If you are seeking a fast paced, team based care environment- 3East is the place for you! The patient population on this unit may include: sepsis, hemorrhage, stroke, cardiac, trauma, post op, substance withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis. RN Unit Coordinators demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
  • Registered nursing License (Required)
  • BLS required within 90 days of hire
  • 18-months of RN experience is required
