About The Position

The Operating Room RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with known/accepted standards of practice and AVH policy. This role utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, and works in support of the medical staff treatment plan, making recommendations for changes as appropriate. The OR RN educates patients and family around the plan of care and disease management, and actively supports the nursing philosophy by striving for excellence in patient care, professional development, interpersonal relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience at a Joint Commission accredited facility with an official Operating Room Training Program preferred.
  • Orthopedic experience as an OR RN preferred.
  • Scrub and Circulating experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of Periop 101 preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities
