Registered Nurse (RN) School Nurse- Elementary Camp
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is seeking experienced school nurses to join their staffing team, specifically for an Elementary Camp in Lesterville, Missouri. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive health services to students while they are at school or camp. This includes treating injuries and mild to acute illnesses, supporting students with chronic conditions, and contributing to preventive care through education on communicable diseases and proper hygiene. The position requires comfort with medical procedures such as feeding tubes, trachs, and medication administration. Successful candidates will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with children, parents/guardians, and teachers, along with a genuine interest in improving children's lives. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical facility
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with children, their parents or guardians, and teachers
- Genuine interest in improving children’s lives
Responsibilities
- Provide health services to students when they are at school
