About The Position

Interim HealthCare is seeking experienced school nurses to join their staffing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide health services to students within a school setting, which includes treating injuries, mild to acute illnesses, and supporting students with chronic conditions. The nurse will also engage in preventive care by educating students on communicable disease avoidance and proper hygiene. Comfort with feeding tubes, trachs, and medication administration is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and teachers, along with a genuine interest in improving children's lives. This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing nurses to pick shifts based on their availability across elementary, middle, and high schools, typically Monday-Friday with various times.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Missouri
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical facility
CPR certification
Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate
Comfortable with feeding tubes, trachs, and med administration
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate with children, their parents or guardians, and teachers
Genuine interest in improving children’s lives
