About The Position

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is in the Same Day Surgery department at Aurora Medical Center - Manitowoc County. The Surgical Services department is located on the second floor of the hospital, featuring 7 Operating Rooms, 2 GI rooms, 7 PACU bays, and 16 Pre/Post Operative Rooms. The department is recognized for high patient satisfaction and outcome scores, and the team has received multiple hospital-wide awards. As a skilled and compassionate RN, the role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN will utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills to create a safe patient environment and ensure the best patient experience. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Required to obtain ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication.
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
