Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the following available position: Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Duties include: Assess mental health needs; develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide consistent therapeutic milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college of nursing.
- Current SC RN license or an RN license from a compact state required
- CPI training provided upon hire.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- BSN or BS preferred.
- Specialty certification also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients on assigned unit.
- Administers and documents prescribed medications and treatments.
- Establishes therapeutic rapport with the patient, provides support and utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques.
